Emergency service
No heat. No cool. Call now — a technician answers.
Overnight, weekends and holidays. You describe what's happening to someone who can actually triage it, and we tell you honestly whether it's tonight or tomorrow morning.
Before we arrive
Do this first — it takes two minutes and sometimes solves it
No heat
- 1Confirm the thermostat is set to Heat and above room temp
- 2Check the furnace switch on the wall or unit housing
- 3Look for a tripped breaker labeled furnace or air handler
- 4Replace a filter that's visibly grey — a clogged filter locks units out
- 5Check the blinking diagnostic LED and tell us the pattern
No cooling
- 1Set the fan to On — if it runs, the blower is fine
- 2Check the outdoor disconnect box beside the condenser
- 3Look for ice on the refrigerant line and shut the system off if you see it
- 4Confirm the float switch on the drain pan hasn't tripped
- 5Note whether the outdoor fan spins
Water or gas
- 1Smell gas? Leave the house and call your utility first, then call us
- 2Water pooling? Shut the system off at the switch
- 3Boiler leaking? Close the isolation valves if you can reach them safely
- 4CO alarm sounding? Get everyone outside and call 911
- 5Photograph the gauge or fault code if it's safe
What an emergency call costs
Pricing stays flat-rate, even at 2 a.m.
You'll be quoted the diagnostic before we drive out, and the repair before we touch a part. Comfort Club members pay no overtime premium and the diagnostic is waived.
